Artificial intelligence (AI) programs such as Lensa AI, MidJourney and Sudowrite are increasingly being used by many people to "create" artwork and fiction. But what do these trends mean for artists and authors creating their own new works and the creators whose original works were analyzed by these AI programs to aid in their machine learning? Will include discussions of the business practices of some of the companies advancing AI creations, how this trend plays into society continually devaluing the work of artists and writers, and the copyright and plagiarism issues that can arise with AI-generated art and writing.
